Hi Donna
You know that anyone who books three times in twelve months must be a satisfied customer and, once again, I really enjoyed my stay in early September.
All of you run the hotel in a way that creates a terrific holiday whether guests want to be mostly alone (although no-one needs to be and very few seem to want to!), join in the fun, or a mixture of both.
On all three visits, I have found that other guests are very pleasant people and as a result have had a very enjoyable holiday on each occasion. Anyone who has ever stayed by themselves in an ordinary hotel mostly occupied by couples and families will know how difficult it is to make friends and have company for the week. At the Mistral it is so easy.
Part of the overall friendly atmosphere which is generated amongst the guests is reflected in the harmless nicknames some of us get given whilst we are there. In June, along with Derek, I became Ant from Ant and Dek (even though the two of us are more handsome than the originals!) and in September I was nominated Captain because of an anecdote I told.
When this title was displayed on the video screen which was informing us of our departure times it illustrated not only the friendly atmosphere between guests but also with the hotel team.
I shall return!

Hi Donna,
Many thanks to all, a fabulous week. Arrival - I was delayed by 9 1\2 hours, arriving in Chania Airport at 02:00 hours in the morning - only to be greeted by Vassillis, who after a very very long day himself, still managed a warm welcome and a speedy transfer of about 30 mins, he had everyone into their rooms which are of a high standard with all the mod cons, within minutes of arrival at the Hotel. The food at the Mistral is a real taste of Crete, with fresh home grown produce being a real feature. On to the excursions, the trips out are mostly escorted by the very knowledgeable hotel staff - this cannot be be under-estimated, it brings Crete alive with the added bonus of genuine local frendships to make your days out unforgetable. The over-all atmosphere in this hotel is one of genuine warmth and caring, both from every member of the team and all of the guests one and all. Many guest are repeat visitors year after year - this speaks for itself. For myself, I will not hesitate to return as soon as possible.
Special thanks to all of the Mistral Team, you have a truly unique oasis in the otherwise plastic world of package holidays.

I would like to pass a huge thank you to you all including your staff for making my first solo traveller experience a walk in the park. A breeze in the unknown.
The hospitalty was tremendous, I found space to breath and a lounger to sunbathe on - no towel rushing. There was always someone to talk to, whether the staff at the Mistral or another guest on their first or numerous trip. I found the evening meal not only delicious but perfect in the fact that we all sat together giving us chance to connect, to discuss our day, our tomorrow, our lives and our futures. The accomodation was suppendous, quality, comfortable and clean. Skin and hair feels soft and good thanks to the complimenary products in my room. I will certainly recommend the Mistral Hotel to people I know and those I have yet to meet. It is a wonderful place to travel to alone but to not feel alone. I have returned safely home a bit jet lagged as one would expect after a 25 hour trip, but visiting Crete and the Mistral was well worth the travel time. Thanks so so much for all your hospitality. Everything was just top notch. I liked the balance of planned excursions and time to do things on one's own. The food was delicious and all the people (guests and staff) were simply wonderful, friendly and so accomodating. And Greek night was very special indeed. Arrived home after a bit of a drive eventually just after midnight without any drama so fine.
I have to say, i had the most wonderful time and the mistral is a very special place indeed which i guess over the years you have tuned to the standard it is. I felt like i was on a holiday tailored for me, and almost felt like a member of the "mistral family" and i will return without doubt.
I had wondered if the mixed age group would make things difficult in some way but actually the opposite, the diversity helped with some great people.
My only complaint is that i couldnt get another week off work to stay on as i really think another week would have done me a lot of good and i could have rested a little more and perhaps had a few less cocktails!!
Seriously great, and the first time i have been on holiday where i wouldnt change anything!

I wish to thank you and all the staff so very much that worked so hard to make the Mistral the perfect hotel to visit and for a most enjoyable holiday. I came not knowing anything about the Mistral Hotel, a surprise holiday booked by my daughter, wonderful! Surprise, surprise! All one could wish for from a holiday and More was here in this hotel, friendly without being pushy, always helpful, time out if required, which I so much needed I found it so relaxing from our busy lives and demands, a true holiday to enjoy. Is it any wonder many return again and again! A warm welcome, decor, furnishings all wonderfully chosen for comfort plus style and surroundings to the hotel, gardens with little area's to sit and talk, relax or read a book "Beautiful" a haven to enjoy. Please pass on a Big Thank You to Asen for putting a smile on my face and enjoying his wise words he had to inpart in our chats with him, a real pleasure to have met him, he put the extra into the holiday with his own entertaining zest. I must say a big thank you to Vassillis and all the family for their wonderful hospitality and dedication to provide an excellent holiday for everyone looking for that special holiday. May the Mistral Hotel hold onto what makes them special, really special, as so many want and need all that you have to offer. Home safe and sound and writing to thank you all for such a wonderful and special holiday experience. The room I had, 506 was absolutely beautiful, as was the gorgeous bathroom. The whole hotel was thoughtfully and tastefully decorated and everywhere was beautuful on the eye- lots of lovely shapes and colours, lovely stone, flowers and beautiful furniture. I loved the sunbeds and pools. Meals were a wonderful time. Lots of delicious local dishes made from fresh produce. Lots of variety and delicious seafood.Thank you! I really felt very privileged to be part of the Mistral family- thank you all for being so caring, friendly and attentive.I felt part of the real family and the real Crete. It was a joy to be shown the beaches and to experience the fish lunch outing- again so real and part of the real Crete.The Greek dancing was a very special event, especially as Vassilis was dancing too! Vassilis- I loved your passion and incredible knowledge of the island. I was so impressed with your involvement with our holiday experience- to make it such a great holiday for us.You have all helped to give me some fabulous memories and an insight into the history, culture and customs of your amazing island. I really hope to return and wonder when the Greek Easter is next year as I would be very interested to find out more about the celebration of Easter. I don't think I have to tell you what a wonderful time I had at the Mistral, I think it was self-evident! Although I was nervous initially, once at the bar on the first night it was the beginning of a truly wonderful time. The 'Mistral Babes' were amazing and I've never laughed so much in years; the second week was different and I missed my friends but still very enjoyable. But it's all down to you and your wonderful hotel, you enabled us to meet and gave us a wonderful atmosphere to enjoy ourselves in! Wonderful country, lovely hotel, marvellous hosts and staff, delicious food - what more can I say, all we had to do was arrive and be sociable! Thank you! I hope you are all well and your guests are being kind. We are all still in touch but all suffering from Mistral withdrawal and the inability to tell our friends here just how wonderful it was, although the photos do give a good impression of the amount of laughing that went on! Dear Vasilis, Just a little note to say thank you so much to everyone at the Mistral for giving me the most amazing holiday and memories that will last a life time. From start to finish everything was just perfect! My room was beautiful and I loved the fact that the maids made little bows out of my towels and nightie! The bathroom looked beautiful and the shower was great, very powerful! The pools and the bar were lovely and all the flowers were soo pretty. As for your staff, they couldnt be more helpful. I really appreciated your seeing us in through the check in and always making me feel safe. So here is a super big thank you to all of your lovely family and staff for making this one of the best holidays Ive ever had. I enjoyed my week in Crete very much and have already recommended your Hotel to a single friend of mine. I was very impressed with the comfortof my room, the cleaniness of the whole Hotel,the delicious food and the friendliness of all the people. I will definately visit Crete again as I would like to explore more of the island, so it is highly likely that I will see you again.

Just a note to say a HUGE 'Thank you' for making my holiday so enjoyable. I was a bit apprehensive before booking, but it far exceeded my expectations. I have been recommending the Mistral to everyone I meet! It's a great holiday concept, and such a professionally run experience.
