Staying safe at the Mistral

Staying safe at the Mistral

Welcome Back!

Staying safe at the Mistral

The health and wellbeing of all our customers and staff is of the upmost importance to us and remains our highest priority.

Given the heightened importance during these uncertain times we have introduced new processes and procedures to make sure that the Mistral team has everything they need to keep everyone, including themselves safe.

All staff are being expertly trained in new health and safety processes and specific cleaning protocols introduced in light of the Covid-19 across Greece tailored to be effective specifically as we welcome our guests to enjoy their holidays with us once again.

Our cleaning products and protocols are officially certified and effective against viruses including the application of certified COVID-19 Sterilization and disinfection protocols daily and before every new arrival and check-in at the hotel.

Fortunately, Crete is some 12 times less densely populated than the average country in Europe and the Mistral buildings and facilities ensure ample space for guests to safely enjoy relaxing in a visitor free environment and of course each guest has their own private room.

The large pools, open air bar area and lots of open space for dining and social interaction help us all to stay safe together. The great Greek hot and dry summer outdoors is a reliable ally at this time!

For everyone’s safety we have enhanced the following services:

Cleanliness and enhanced sterilization in high-touch areas including the guest rooms and public areas (door handles, sun beds, public restrooms and restaurant/pool bar area)
We apply contactless check in via the online form in our website (please state next of kin details) and upon arrival you will be able to receive your sterilized room key which you keep throughout your stay.

We already have many bookings for all weeks both from new and regular customers alike which will ensure the famous unique Mistral atmosphere will not change, and whilst there are these specific changes introduced to ensure your safety, we are sure to have a lot of fun and some memorable times as we make the most of the beautiful summer with you, our lovely and valued customers.

Breakfasts are buffet style and dinners will be enjoyed in longer tables ensuring the ability to maintain a safe but sociable distance and food will be served to you from the staff or be already plated where practicably possible.

Our mini buses will be sterilized before and after every use and currently only our driver and a maximum of passengers are allowed.

Together with your arrival information you will receive by email a contactless check in form and a Greek government disclaimer on Covid 19 which is a mandatory requirement.

Lastly, we are actively monitoring developments on a daily basis and are in regular contact with all relevant authorities in order to always be up to date for any country-specific requirements or changes in legislation that may arise.

Please also note that all passengers are obligated to complete a protocol for arrival in Greece on the following address https://travel.gov.gr/

The Greek government has determined how the country will welcome travelers, carry out the necessary diagnostic screening and keep everyone safe throughout the season.

The Passenger Locator Form (PLF) is a key element in the planning. All visitors are obliged to complete their PLF at least 48 hours before entering the country, providing detailed information on their point of departure, the duration of previous stays in other countries, and the address of their stay while in Greece.

Visitors will then receive a confirmation email upon submission of the PLF.

Anyone travelling will receive the PLF with the QR code one day before their scheduled arrival in Greece and will be notified via email which can then be presented on their mobile phone on arrival at the airport.

Booking and cancellation flexibility

For all existing bookings before the Pandemic.

Your bookings are valid and deposits can be used for future bookings or passed on to new guests.

All bookings can be changed due to travel restrictions noting that:

Hotels are subject to local law in the market in which they operate. Therefore, government legislation and regulations may supersede a bookings policy in specific circumstances, including the type and timing of the refund. All deposits will be transferred to future bookings which can include 2022. All administration costs for this will be absorbed by us at the Mistral.

Reservations may be changed without a fee but may result in different pricing for time periods with special event restrictions or peak demand weeks.

For New Bookings:

Considering the uncertainty this current situation brings to all travelers, we want to help you plan and book any future stay with us in total confidence.

We have changed our flexible cancellation policy and you may cancel your booking free of charge up to 30 days prior to your arranged arrival date. Practically, with bookings being very last minute for 2022 you can make a booking where a minimal €100 deposit is required.

Finally

We realize these unprecedented times means some changes in processes and procedures in the interests of the health and safety of all visitors to the mistral and indeed for all visitors to this beautiful island of Crete.

Be assured we will make your stay an enjoyable and memorable one, with the warmest of welcomes and consideration of everyone’s individual needs.

Please feel free, if you have any questions, concerns or doubts, no matter how small, to ask me personally or any member of our fully trained team and we will, as always, endeavor to assist or clarify you with whatever you need.

We really look forward to welcoming you, old and new friends, for a memorable holiday at the Mistral hotel in 2022.
