Our entire holiday offering is dedicated to solos and single holidaymakers who wish to meet like-minded people. It should come as no surprise that the bar at the Mistral has been the starting point for many long-term friendships for people who return year after year to catch up with friends.
Naturally we’re biased but we think Crete is the perfect place for a singles holiday. It’s the largest island in Greece with an ancient classical history, some amazing natural scenery, absolutely beautiful beaches and a culture all of its own. Then of course you have the local cuisine, the local music, the local colour and the locals themselves – so warm and welcoming. Come and stay as a single at the Mistral Hotel and you’ll find it’s more than just a holiday, it’s an immersive Cretan experience shared with new friends.
The Mistral has 38 rooms designated as Seaview, Lateral Seaview and Garden view. Despite the larger beds, every room is for single-only occupancy. More importantly we never charge a single supplement. Room design is contemporary Cretan styling with furnishings, bathroom fittings, tiles and locally produced artwork, carefully selected to create the perfect ambience for your holiday.
This may be a singles holiday but nobody ever eats alone! Dining at the Mistral is incredibly social and for many guests is the highlights of their stay. Everybody eats together seated at long tables, and we serve traditional, healthy, home-made Cretan food, cooked using extra virgin olive oil from our family groves. Our menus showcase the best of the island’s cuisine and there is copious complimentary wine throughout dinner.
Those who drink together, think together! The Mistral’s famous outdoor bar is the focal point of the hotel. You’re never solo when you drink in good company and the bar serves frosty drinks as you chill by the pool during the day. By night it’s ‘meeting central’ for pre-dinner sundowners, post-dinner conversations and late-night philosophical conversations (well, something like that!)
