MISTRALITE’S NEW YEAR’S EVE PARTY 2025 – ATHENS
5-Nights 29th December 2025 -3rd January 2026
SEE-IN 2026 UNDER THE WALLS OF THE ACROPOLIS
Got plans for seeing-in the New Year yet? Probably not as it’s a bit early. But here’s the thing, we’ve had a brilliant idea and we’re organising a ‘bit of a do’ to welcome 2026. It’s in Athens and you are cordially invited.
Athens is a magical city, perfectly blending ancient history with vibrant modern cosmopolitan chic. During the festive season it comes alive with fireworks over the Acropolis, street parties, and festive concerts in Syntagma Square. For visitors it’s a chance to welcome the New Year with a view over the Parthenon or a stroll through the buzzing Plaka district.

FIVE NIGHT’S OF MISTRALITE MAYHEM
(WELL – MODEST MAYHEM!)
Big cities can be surprisingly good value over New Year, so we thought we might as well ‘go large’ and put on a 5-night shindig giving us 4 full days to eat, drink and be merry.
Here’s what’s included:
- 5 nights B&B accommodation in a central 3 stars city hotel
- Single or shared room options
- Free airport transfer for arrivals on recommended flights
- Private guided Athens city tour including the Acropolis
- Guided Walking tour Athens center
- 2 dinners at traditional Greek tavernas
- New Year’s Eve festive dinner
- New Year’s Day brunch

30th December: Private 5 hour city tour and Acropolis
After breakfast at the hotel, we board a coach for our private city tour. We visit the Panathenaic Stadium, site of the first Olympic Games of modern times in 1896, the Prime Minister’s residence (ex. Royal Palace) guarded by the Evzones in their colourful uniform, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian’s Arch, Parliament and the memorial to the Unknown Soldier, the Academy, the University, the National Library, and Omonia Square. We make a short stop at each place. Late morning we arrive at the Acropolis, home to Architectural Masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens. It’s not just all about the Parthenon as we also explore the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and the Theatre of Dionysus. We’ll then leave you to discover your own place for lunch somewhere around Plaka before we reconvene to visit the new Acropolis Museum and admire the wonders of the classical era. In the evening, we all meet up for dinner at a traditional Greek taverna.

31st December: Guided walking city centre tour

Walk down Ermou Street, Athens’ main shopping avenue, and stop by the Kapnikarea Church, a stunning Byzantine church from the 11th century. Explore Monastiraki Square, famous for its mix of Ottoman, Byzantine, and neoclassical architecture. Visit the lively Monastiraki Flea Market, perfect for souvenirs. Wander through the charming streets of Plaka, the oldest neighbourhood in Athens with charming streets, traditional tavernas, and neoclassical buildings. If you’re feeling energetic, climb up to Anafiotika, a hidden, Cycladic-style village under the Acropolis. Lunch at leisure and free afternoon. Special festive Mistralite New Year’s Eve dinner at a traditional Athens restaurant with live music. Just before midnight we stroll to Syntagma Square in time for the fireworks and celebrations.
